You get a reply within one working day. If your message arrives on a weekend, expect Monday.

If you go ahead, we confirm in writing
Time, place, what is included, and how to pay — all in one email before anything is booked.
Direct email
This is the only inbox. Anything else claiming to be us is not us.
Hours and languages
Monday to Friday, 9:00–18:00 China time. We write in English; calls and meetings can be in English or Mandarin. Urgent medical situations do not wait for business hours — in an emergency call 120 first.
Where we are
Registered office only — this is not a place to visit. It is where the company is registered, not an office with a reception. We do not receive clients there.
No.40, Tiyuchang Road, Qingpu District, Shanghai 201600, China
Where we actually meet you depends on what you booked: at the hospital entrance, at your hotel, or at the starting point of your itinerary. That is agreed in the confirmation email, with a phone number you can reach on the day.
Before you write
Is the first reply really free?
Yes. You describe the situation, we tell you what is possible, what it costs, and whether you actually need a paid service. No obligation and no follow-up spam if you decide not to book.
Do you give medical advice?
No, and we will not guess. We help with the practical side — which hospital, how to book, getting there, interpreting during the consultation, understanding what you were told and what to do next. Diagnosis and treatment decisions belong to the doctor treating you.
Can you book the appointment for me?
Booking is part of the medical escort service, not a standalone product. If you only want someone to secure a slot and nothing else, say so in your email and we will tell you honestly if it is worth paying for.
How far in advance should I write?
For a medical appointment, three to five working days is comfortable because specialist slots fill up. Itineraries can often be arranged with two or three days notice. If you are already in Shanghai and something is urgent, write anyway and mark it urgent in the subject.
Do you work with travel agencies or hotels?
Yes. If you are a hotel concierge or an agency arranging Shanghai for a client, write from your work address and tell us the client's situation — we will quote for the arrangement rather than the individual.
Shanghai Journey provides accompaniment, interpretation and trip planning. We are not a medical provider and nothing on this site is medical advice. In a medical emergency in mainland China, call 120.
